4 Reflections Of A LEEADER: Gratitude And Growth
As the Leaders in Equitable Evaluation and Diversity (LEEAD) program prepares to receive applications for its third fellowship cohort, I take this opportunity to review my reflections from the close of the 2015-2016 inaugural year. All 15 of us mid-career PhDs from across the U.S. were asked, Why LEEAD?
In my writing I expressed gratitude and growth for our community of learners and practitioners who funded, mentored, collaborated, modelled, and led the path for how to navigate the business and politics of practicing culturally responsive and equitable evaluation in a variety of settings. I remain grateful to the Annie E. Casey Foundation and our LEEAD community for the career- and life-changing experiences that I enjoy to this day, more than 3 years later.
Do these reflections resonate with you? Do you belong to a community that gives life to your practice? How do you engage in culturally responsive and equitable evaluation as inclusive excellence and rigor? What reflections and resources can you add to the conversation?
Consider an application to Expanding the Bench or referral to LEEAD.
